英国碳纤维技术早期发展史研究The Review of UK Research History for High Performance Carbon Fiber

摘要(Abstract)：
综述了英国皇家飞机研究中心威廉姆·瓦特对于聚丙烯腈基碳纤维的相关研究,简述了英国罗尔斯罗伊斯航空发动机公司研发碳纤维增强树脂飞机发动机叶片的失败经历,分析了英国碳纤维技术发展快速由盛到衰的原因。
The paper reviews the contributions of William Watt, a scientist of UK Royal Aircraft Establish-ment at Farnborough, to the progress of PAN-based carbon fiber technology for UK and the world. The re-search and the tragedy result of CFRP blade"Hyfil"of Rolls-Royce plc are briefly introduced and the rea-son of why UK's technological development of PAN-based carbon fiber went rapidly from prosperity to de-cline is analyzed.
